| About the School |

The International University of Logistics and Transport in Wrocław, Poland was founded in 2001 by the Association for Building Integrated Logistic Center in Wrocław, in cooperation with:
The main reason for founding such an establishment resulted from the observed shortage of higher education vocational institutions that would educate future logistics specialists or forwarders. At the same time a great demand for such specialists was claimed by the labour market. The mission of the MWSLiT is to educate future managers able to run modern logistic processes and open to challenges of integrated Europe. To live up to its name, the University has mainly concentrated on adapting best tuition programs, on hiring professional and dedicated lecturers and on networking with various companies and institutions. Thanks to cooperation with our key partner – ESIDEC group of schools from Metz, France – the tuition program of the School provides comprehensive knowledge and qualifications in the field of broadly understood logistics, transport and forwarding. The international profile of the School as well as relations with foreign partners allow us to run “open education” by means of guest lectures, of both Polish and international academics. Such lectures complement the tuition program of the School and thanks to them students have the opportunity to compare their ideas of the profession they are learning with reality. Our partners include Wrocław University of Technology, Wrocław University of Economics, ESIDEC group of schools from Metz, France, Dresden Logistics Centre, Association of Hauliers “Dolny Śląsk”, Polish National Association of Road Transport Employers, Polish Logistic Association, Lower Silesia Chamber of Commerce, 3PL GEFCO Polska, and German Business Education Centre EuroConsulting. The very act of creating the School in cooperation with ESIDEC group of schools from Metz, France was awarded the French Prime Minister’s Jean-Pierre Raffarin prize. The prize is given to international projects developed together with French entrepreneurs. In 2003 there were five international projects awarded the prize (out of 92 that entered) but ours was the only one awarded in the field of education. On November 10th 2003 the creation of the International University of Logistics and Transport in Wrocław was awarded the first prize. For many years the School has also been awarded the certificate of “Trustworthy School” by the Academic Information Centre.
The International University of Logistics and Transport in Wrocław is a private non-academic vocational school registered as idenpendent school in independent schools’ register run by National Ministry of Science and Higher Education, with the number 67. The School was founded on the basis of the Act from June 26th 1997 on vocational schools. There is one department within the School’s structure – Department of Logistics and Transport. Annually 300 students enrol to first level (Bachelor’s) studies and 200 students enrol to post-graduate courses. In the academic year 2007/2008 the School started Master’s studies. There are both Bachelor’s and Master’s studies at the International University of Logistics and Transport in Wrocław. First level (Bachelor’s) studies last three years (six terms) and they are run at two specialties: Logistic Systems and Transport Management. Having completed any of the specialties, our graduates receive two diplomas: a Polish one and a French one, the latter being issued by the ESIDEC group of schools in Metz, France. |
